EDUCATION
CHILDREN
First Presbyterian Church has many educational programs throughout the year for children ages 4-Grade 4. On Sunday mornings we have Sunday School led by Terry Stubelek, our children’s education director. Children have an opportunity to lead us in worship through our children’s pageant held in mid-December. Every summer we host a Vacation Bible School that is always a crowd favorite.

YOUTH
First Presbyterian Church has many education programs for youth in Grades 5-12 with a different approach for each age level.
Our 5-6 graders will experience a project based curriculum. We discuss how God is calling us to use our gifts and then we practice skills that we can use to carry out our calling.
Our 7-8 graders experience an adventure based curriculum. We stretch their understanding of the world and their faith. They grow from a childhood understanding about God to an adult understanding with all of the nuance that requires.
Our 9-12 graders put their faith into practice with self-directed activities and conversations that matter to budding adults.

CONFIRMATION
Confirmation is a reaffirmation of our baptismal vows. For those of us who are baptized as children or infants, it is our parents who initially accept the vows on our behalf. Confirmation then becomes our opportunity to personally reaffirm those baptismal vows and claim the grace offered by Christ in baptism.
At FPC Confirmation is an opportunity to pause on the verge of adulthood and examine our beliefs and explore how faith might be a good life-long partner. Confirmation is the beginning of a personal lifelong journey.
Confirmation is offered depending on the size of our students in the appropriate age group; often offered on a bi-yearly schedule. Contact our education director, Terry Stubelek for more information.
ADULT EDUCATION
Opportunities to learn and grow continue throughout life. Faith is a journey and adults at First Presbyterian Church have many ways to engage their hearts in mind in search of better understanding.
We have a Bible Study for adults that takes place in the parlor. Call the church main office for more details.
We have various opportunities throughout the year to engage in studies involving mission, or on topics that are relevant to the world in which we live.
For more information about opportunities for adults, call the church office and ask to speak to the Pastor.
