MUSIC AT FIRST CHURCH

Music program

The music program at first church is varied and unique. On any given week you may hear guitar, piano, the ecumenical bell choir playing, the chancel choir singing an anthem, soloists from our community on the east end and our from our friends who visit from abroad; including both traditional and contemporary. It is our goal to reach a broad cross section of our community by combining both traditional hymns, classical music with arrangements that have a more contemporary feel. There is music for you here at first church!

Our chancel choir sings frequently and we are always looking for new members! We also have frequent community choir events for special performances at the church. Call and speak with our music director, Amanda Jones if you are interested in joining our one of our choirs!

The ecumenical bell choir regularly meets on Thursdays and includes members who hail from Jamesport to Bridgehampton and beyond. Interested in ringing with our ecumenical bell choir? Contact Midge Fowler, our bell choir director to get more information!

Are you a musician or have a musical group that would like to perform at first church? We have a beautiful sanctuary with wonderful acoustics and we relish opportunities to bring new musicians into our sanctuary for performances both sacred and secular. Contact Amanda Jones, our musical director to find out more information on how you can be a part of our programming here at first church!
