Maundy Thursday Tenebrae Communion Service
Maundy comes from the Latin meaning "command" and speaks of the evening of the Last Supper when Jesus gave His disciples the Great Commandment. "Love one another as I have loved you."
Tenebrae means "darkness" and reminds us that Holy Thursday ended in the darkness of betrayal. The readings will take us after the supper in the upper room through the events of that dark night.
We will participate in the Sacrament of Holy Communion.
